Nearly 2,500 women from 14 different countries joined to weave the world's largest crochet blanket.
It was more than three times larger than the previous Guinness World Record holder.
Take a look at how the needle-wielding women created the colossal patchwork in India.
The crocheters met on the Facebook group 'Mother India's Crochet Queens.' Before they got together in-person, the group's 2,472 members (who ranged in age between 6 and 85 years) made 8,034 smaller blankets.

Coordinating through WhatsApp and Facebook, many of the women knitted simple granny squares, while others created their own intricate designs.

The women then sent them to Chennai, India, where a smaller group of volunteers stitched them together in a field. The mega-blanket measured about 120,000 square feet, or the equivalent of one-and-a-half football fields.
