Go inside the beautifully redecorated Indian taxis that Coldplay featured in a recent music video

Most city cabs in Mumbai are dull and forgettable. They all look the same, with a drab black and tan interior. The brightest thing on Mumbai cabs are their signature highlighter-yellow roofs.

Taxi Fabric re-thinks this traditional taxi interior by covering it with a cosmic explosion of wild patterns and colors. Since the project launched in late 2015, the collective of designers has worked with 26 local artists to trick out taxis in Mumbai.

The cabs are one of the most popular ways to get around, so there's a lot of competition between drivers. To stand out from the crowd, cabbies will often personalize their rides by hanging jewelry from the front mirrors or placing Hindu shrines on the dashboards.

But most neglect the cars' upholstery that cover the seats and ceilings. Taxi Fabric helps the cars really stand out, by plastering vivid designs all over its interiors.
